The update's rolling out to the Play Store now.
Google Calendar is the go-to calendar solution for most Android users, and the next time you open the app, you'll likely notice that things look a bit more — Googely. As part of the version 6.0 update that's making its way to the Play Store now, Google Calendar's UI gets a Material Theme makeover.
Just like we've seen with Contacts, Messages, Calculator, and more, all of the Material Theme staples are here. Icons are no longer filled-in, the Google Sans font is here, and corners have been rounded everywhere possible.
Thankfully, all of the core Calendar elements remain untouched. Nothing has changed from a functional standpoint — everything in v6.0 is focused purely on aesthetics.
Everything here looks just fine to me, and compared to some of the previous updates, this is definitely among the tamer ones.
How do you like Google Calendar v6.0?
