Up until recently, Osmo products were only compatible with iPads, but no longer. Osmo products are coming for Amazon's fire tablets. You can pre-order the Creative Kit for $70 or the Genius Kit for $100. Character-themed expansions include the Incredibles 2, Mickey & Friends, and Disney Princesses. The two base kits will start shipping in November, and the other items will be available sooner.
This is a pretty big development for the popular STEAM toy manufacturer, and it is especially nice considering the money you'll save. While it's true that the base kits themselves cost a bit more than your average toy, they're totally worthwhile. However, it can be hard to justify buying a $600 iPad for your kindergartner. Even if you want to go all-out and purchase the Fire 7 Kids Tablet, you'll still only be spending $100 and you'll be getting a no-questions-asked warranty. This is a fantastic solution for parents who want their kids to have smart learning tools without spending an arm and a leg.
Osmo takes your tablet and turns it into a fantastic learning tool. Math, spelling, phonetics, shape recognition, motor skills.... the list goes on and on.
