With the iPhone launch out of the best way, Google is now beginning to spin up the advertising machine for its subsequent flagship cellphone. Google has launched a teaser website and a video asking dissatisfied smartphone customers to “stay tuned for more on October 4.” What Google desires customers to “stay tuned” for is the Pixel 2, the sequel to the Google Pixel.

When we final checked in with Google’s 2017 flagship, we have been working off a tweet from VentureBeat’s Evan Blass claiming that the cellphone would launch October fifth and include a brand new “Snapdragon 836” SoC. Later experiences from each Android Police and XDA Developers disputed this, saying Qualcomm wasn’t engaged on mid-cycle “836” refresh this 12 months. The Pixel 2 is now anticipated to have the identical Snapdragon 835 SoC as each different high-end Android cellphone.
